Well, millions of smokers all over the globe are looking for the magic cure that would help them get rid of this awful nicotine addiction. They search through thousands and thousands of pages all over the internet, they consult their friends, read magazines about quitting smoking…AND they do it while puffing their favorite brand of cigarette.
You see, there is no magic cure that will teach you how to break the smoking habit in an instant. There’s no secret. It all boils down to how to firmly resolved you are to give up smoking. If you’re left scratching your head…thinking of what would be a good way to start quitting smoking, here are a couple of tips…
- Always visualize your goal. What benefits are you getting from smoking? A healthier body? Better-smelling breath? Saving a couple of bucks a day which you would’ve otherwise spent on smoking? There are numerous benefits brought about by quitting smoking.
The bottom line is that you should always visualize yourself achieving your goal and experiencing those benefits. This will help you get motivated and pumped up to fight the addiction…something that you’ll NEED along the way.
- When we make changes for the better, we either remove the negatives or replace them with positives. Learning how to quit the smoking habit is like removing a negative aspect of your lifestyle, which is good. But don’t you think it’s even better to add some positives? Why not add a healthier habit – say going to the gym, exercising for 10-20 minutes a day, etc.?
Getting ‘addicted’ to these healthy habits will surely bring a lot of positives into your lifestyle and well-being.
- Seek the help of your family and friends. Time and time again, it has been proven that learning how to break the smoking habit is NOT an easy feat. Millions have tried…and only a handful has succeeded. Not to mention it took them a lot of trial, error and failures before finally triumphantly eliminating the dreaded nicotine addiction from their lifestyle.
You need all the help that you can get. I’m sure your friends and family will be more than glad to give you a helping hand in your battle against smoking, which has claimed millions of lives all over the globe.
- Whether you quit smoking ‘cold turkey’ or it takes you weeks or even months, it doesn’t really matter. Some find it easier to drop the addiction in a snap, while others just can’t bear the withdrawal symptoms that come along with it. The bottom line is that you’re in the right direction!
If you’re not able to totally quit smoking on the deadline you designated, that’s ok. Don’t bang your head on the wall. Just keep doing what you do or better yet try harder and better until it’s finally out of your system.
